Teaching a second/foreign language to young learners requires a special kind of professionalism, and necessitates various types of knowledge, skills, and abilities. Research and Practice in Teaching Second Language Skills to Young Learners aims to familiarize teachers and future teachers with young learners and tools to teach them. Chapter 8 (by Gökçe Kurt and Şükriye Senger) illustrates students’ and teachers’ perceptions of Automated Writing Evaluation. Chapter 9 (by Joanna Rokita-Jaśkow) suggests ways of developing speaking skills in young and very young learners. Chapter 10 (by Zeynep Çamlıbel-Acar) presents various skills-related activities and exercises for teachers.
